to mourn and try to live
“When I got off the plane, after eleven hours of travel and forty years away, the man took my passport and asked me the purpose of my visit, I wrote in my daybook, ‘To mourn’, and then, ‘To mourn try to live,’ he gave me a look and asked if I would consider that business or pleasure, I wrote, ‘Neither.’ ‘For how long do you plan to mourn and try to live?’ I wrote, ‘For the rest of my life.’”

Geek Love <3
Just finished reading Katherine Dunn’s Geek Love. Probably one of the best stories ever put to paper. Why has no movie been made of this yet?! Family of Circus freaks turn to cult leaders. It was like a book made just for me. So dark and wonderful. If I could make a movie out of any book, it would be this one. Followed by John Connolly’s The Book of Lost Things.
